Head of Engineering EMEA

About the Role

Atlas Foods is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering for our EMEA region. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and scaling our engineering teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will drive the execution of technology strategy, oversee project delivery, and ensure our engineering teams are aligned with business objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building high-performing, collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for engineering teams within the EMEA region, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

• Develop and execute technology strategies aligned with the company’s vision and regional business goals.

• Oversee key engineering initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.

• Foster talent acquisition, retention, and development within the engineering organization.

• Collaborate closely with product, operations, and executive teams to drive cross-functional projects.

• Establish and monitor engineering metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.

• Represent Atlas Foods’ engineering capabilities in external and internal forums.

• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships as needed.

• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, architecture, and infrastructure.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven experience managing distributed engineering teams, ideally across multiple EMEA countries.

• Deep understanding of software architecture, product development, and scaling technology organizations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

• Track record of building and mentoring diverse, high-performing teams.

• Ability to operate with autonomy, lead through change, and drive results in a dynamic environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the food technology or consumer goods industry.

• Familiarity with compliance standards across the EMEA region.

• Previous experience at a growth-stage or global organization.
