Head of Engineering

Work directly with the CEO to drive engineering efforts and create a long-term technical vision. Own the Fountain Platform and lead end-to-end development across frontend, backend, and smart contract layers. Engage with customers, establish engineering best practices, mentor engineers, and hire and evolve the team.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering efforts with the CEO
• Create and execute a long-term technical vision
• Own the product platform and drive end-to-end development
• Design, build, and launch features
• Write production-quality code across frontend, backend, and smart contracts
• Solve challenging technical problems across the stack
• Engage with customers to iterate on the user experience
• Set engineering best practices and mentor engineers
• Hire and grow the engineering team

Requirements

• Engineering leadership experience
• Strong coding ability and code quality practices
• Technical design and architecture skills
• Full-stack development experience with TypeScript, React, or GraphQL
• Web3 and blockchain experience
• Experience with smart contracts using Solidity and Hardhat
• Customer-focused product development
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Startup experience and ability to deliver from zero to one
