Head of Finance

The Role

Our client, a leading construction and engineering company, is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead and oversee the organization’s finance function.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor budgets, costs, margins, profitability and business performance.
• Oversee AP, AR, GL, reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, tax and statutory requirements.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, banks and external advisers.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting systems.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decisions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects and business initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Degree/professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Relevant experience in financial management or controllership.
• Strong knowledge of reporting, cash flow, budgeting and Singapore statutory compliance.
• Experience managing a small finance team.
• ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
• Project management experience in construction and engineering sector is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
