About the Role

Our client is a US-listed global technology company with operations across Asia and Europe. They are looking for an experienced Head of Global Accounting & Reporting to lead the group’s global accounting and reporting function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee a team of approximately 20–30 employees across Singapore, China, and Europe, with responsibility for global accounting, financial reporting, US GAAP, and SEC reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global accounting and financial reporting function, overseeing teams across Singapore, China, and Europe.
  • Ensure accurate and timely group reporting in accordance with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of SEC reporting and compliance, ensuring filings and disclosures meet applicable US regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with the CFO, senior management, external auditors, and Big Four accounting firms on accounting, reporting, and regulatory matters.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, accounting policies, consolidations, and financial reporting matters.
  • Establish and strengthen global accounting policies, controls, processes, and reporting standards across different markets.
  • Review and assess accounting and reporting implications of new business activities, transactions, and corporate developments.
  • Lead, develop, and restructure the global accounting team as required to support the company’s evolving business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, efficiency, internal controls, and global finance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, including significant leadership experience.
  • Strong and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, with the ability to apply accounting standards to complex and cross-border transactions.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SEC filings, reporting requirements, and US-listed company compliance.
  • Experience working with Big Four accounting firms, preferably including US-based audit or advisory teams.
  • Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed accounting teams across multiple countries.
  • Background in the technology, automotive technology, mobility, electronics, manufacturing, or other technology-driven industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience from both industry and professional services / Big Four environments is ideal; candidates from a pure professional services background with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong technical accounting, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working in a global environment and partnering closely with senior management and external advisors.
