Head of Human Resources
You will lead the Human Resources function and develop the people strategy, HR governance framework, and operating model. You will advise executive leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, remuneration, succession, and complex employee matters. You will oversee the employee lifecycle, lead organisational change, improve HR processes and systems, use workforce analytics for decision-making, and develop the HR team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Human Resources function and develop the people strategy, HR governance framework, and operating model.
- Advise the CEO and executive leadership on workforce planning, organisational design, leadership capability, succession planning, remuneration, and people strategy.
- Partner with business leaders to deliver strategic HR solutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, internal mobility, promotions, payroll, and offboarding.
- Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, restructures, and employment risk.
- Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, employment documentation, and governance frameworks.
- Drive talent management and organisational development initiatives.
- Partner with Finance and senior leaders on remuneration, benefits, job levelling, workforce planning, budgeting, and reward governance.
- Lead organisational change initiatives and change management.
- Use HR metrics and workforce analytics to manage people risks and support decision-making.
- Improve HR processes, systems, and technology.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading an HR function and managing HR teams within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership on people strategy and organisational transformation.
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, workplace relations, performance management, remuneration, and HR governance.
- Experience supporting multi-site, multinational, or international operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, organisational change, restructures, and employment risk.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Commercial acumen, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and people management skills.
