Head of IT, Global Forwarding Solutions (Freight Forwarding / Cargowise)

Salary: $14,000 – $18,000 per month

Brief Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Head of IT to spearhead transformative IT projects and initiatives in the logistics domain. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing operational excellence and driving digital solutions across business functions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the IT project roadmap for logistics operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and global policies.

• Lead comprehensive IT project delivery from scope definition to post-implementation reviews.

• Identify and facilitate the organization's AI initiatives through practical use case development and responsible implementation.

• Drive continuous improvement across workflows in freight forwarding, warehousing, transport, billing, and customer service through technology enhancements and process redesign.

• Oversee the implementation and optimization of core logistics platforms and operational applications, focusing on improving user experience and service reliability.

• Establish robust project governance protocols, including stakeholder management and benefits tracking.

• Foster collaboration with various teams, including Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics, to ensure standardized practices and project success.

• Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring effective delivery and adherence to quality standards.

• Ensure all IT projects consider cybersecurity, data protection, and disaster recovery plans.

• Mentor and develop IT team members to enhance their project delivery skills and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role for IT projects or regional IT transformations.

• Strong background in logistics and supply chain environments, with a focus on freight forwarding processes.

• Proven ability in successfully delivering IT initiatives that enhance productivity and operational efficiencies.

• Experience in integrating or optimizing logistics systems such as CargoWise, warehouse management systems, or BI dashboards is advantageous.
