Head of IT Infrastructure Services & Operations

At Bnode (formerly bpostgroup) , we're modernising our IT infrastructure to support an increasingly digital, international organisation. We're looking for an experienced Head of Infrastructure Services Operations to lead the delivery, reliability and continuous improvement of our enterprise infrastructure services. You'll oversee a hybrid IT environment spanning data centres, cloud platforms, middleware and infrastructure security services. Working with internal technical teams and external service providers, you'll ensure our infrastructure remains secure, resilient, efficient and ready to support future business needs. This is an opportunity for an experienced infrastructure leader to take ownership of a broad technical environment while contributing to significant modernisation and transformation initiatives. Your responsibilities Infrastructure Cloud Operations Manage enterprise infrastructure services across on-premises data centres, private cloud and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Oversee infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, networking, backup and disaster recovery. Ensure the reliability, availability, performance and security of infrastructure services. Coordinate middleware, integration platforms, monitoring and observability services. Oversee operational security services, including identity and access management (IAM), firewalls and vulnerability management. Service Delivery Operational Excellence Manage infrastructure service delivery, ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs and operational standards. Oversee incident, problem and change management processes. Drive improvements in infrastructure monitoring, automation, availability and operational resilience. Work closely with Cloud Platform Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity teams. Support the adoption of AIOps and automated infrastructure operations. Team Supplier Management Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure professionals. Coordinate external infrastructure service providers and managed services partners. Monitor supplier performance, service quality and contractual commitments. Manage operational priorities, resource allocation and escalations. Infrastructure Transformation Cost Management Contribute to hybrid cloud adoption, data centre modernisation and infrastructure migration initiatives. Drive infrastructure standardisation, technical debt reduction and lifecycle improvements. Support infrastructure budgeting, cost optimisation and FinOps practices. Develop and implement infrastructure improvement roadmaps aligned with business and technology priorities.
