About the client
Our client is a respected, boutique property and financial services group based in Melbourne. Small but sophisticated, it brings together a high-calibre group of individuals who set a high bar for quality and discretion where no two days are the same.

The opportunity
This is a senior, strategic role for a technology leader who wants to own the agenda, not just keep the lights on. You’ll be the organisation’s trusted voice on technology, shaping where it invests, how it protects itself and how it gets more from the tools it uses.

Day-to-day support is delivered through an outsourced partner, freeing you to focus on the bigger picture. You’ll work closely with that partner to deliver a great service, help lift capability across the business, and be a go-to advisor for senior leaders and the Board.

A key priority will be uplifting cyber security, from governance and controls through to building a genuinely security-aware culture. You’ll also lead the group’s thinking on AI, helping a sharp, curious team adopt it in ways that are practical and safe.

About you
You’re a technology leader with real breadth, as comfortable in the boardroom as you are getting into the detail with a vendor. You’ll bring a strong track record managing outsourced providers, solid Microsoft 365 and cloud credentials and hands-on experience lifting cyber maturity. You communicate clearly, turn complex issues into plain-English recommendations, and have the judgement and discretion a close-knit, senior environment demands. Above all, you’ll enjoy the autonomy of a standalone role and the chance to make a visible difference.
