📋 Key Responsibilities

⚖️ Legal & Regulatory Compliance

• Develop and enhance the organisation's legal and compliance framework, policies, and internal controls.
• Oversee compliance programmes, including KYC, AML, and CFT frameworks.
• Act as the key liaison with regulatory authorities and manage regulatory submissions, inspections, and enquiries.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide practical legal and compliance advice.
• Conduct compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
• Support audits, regulatory inspections, and remediation initiatives.
• Design and deliver compliance training across the organisation.

📑 Legal Advisory & Corporate Governance

• Provide commercially focused legal advice to senior management and business units.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Oversee company secretarial matters and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Maintain governance documentation for regulatory reviews and audits.
• Drive digitalisation and automation of legal and compliance processes.

🤝 Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead the Legal & Compliance function while remaining actively involved in operational matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, external counsel, auditors, and business stakeholders.
• Champion a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with leadership teams to provide practical solutions that balance business objectives with legal and regulatory risk.
