Head of Legal

Open 16d

Visium combines strategy, frontier AI, and deep regulated-industry expertise to build and deploy AI-native systems that reinvent how businesses operate - unlocking the value of AI at scale.

We're not a strategy firm that ships slide decks and walks away. Not a tech consultancy that builds what won't get adopted. Not a product company chasing problems it doesn't understand. We're all three at once: strategy, deep technical and integration expertise, and product, working as one. That combination is our flywheel. Consulting keeps us close to the hardest real-world problems. Products let us solve them at scale. Every engagement sharpens our products; every deployment makes the next engagement faster, deeper, and more certain.

We're obsessed with outcomes. While 95% of enterprise AI pilots never reach production, Visium is built to be the 5% delivering productised AI that compounds in value, not point solutions that deliver marginal gains. We are AI-native, not AI-adjacent. We don't bolt AI onto broken workflows; we redesign them with AI at the core.

Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Legal to build and oversee Visium's legal and governance framework as we continue scaling internationally.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Swiss corporate law, cross-border commercial contracting, and emerging AI regulation with the practical mindset required to support a fast-growing technology consulting and AI company. They are comfortable advising senior leadership, negotiating sophisticated enterprise agreements, supporting financing activities, and translating complex legal requirements into pragmatic business solutions.

This role will partner closely with the Executive Team, Board, People function, and commercial leaders to ensure Visium can grow confidently while maintaining strong governance and risk management practices.

  • Support employment, contractor, mobility, and equity-related matters across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop scalable legal processes, templates, and risk management frameworks that enable business growth.
  • Coordinate and manage external legal counsel when specialized expertise is required.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of legal experience in corporate, commercial, or technology law.
  • Background in a top-tier Swiss or international law firm, combined with in-house experience.
  • Experience with venture-backed companies, fundraising, and ESOPs.
  • Strong expertise in Swiss corporate governance, financing, and shareholder matters.
  • Knowledge of employment law across Switzerland, Germany, and Spain.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex enterprise contracts (MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, partnerships).
  • Solid understanding of GDPR, Swiss data protection law, and AI-related regulation.
  • Familiarity with the EU AI Act and regulated industries such as Life Sciences or Financial Services.
