Head of Loan and Remittance Operation and IT
【Job Description】
- Lead, supervise and manage Loan and Remittance Operation and IT Department.
- Account processing for banking transactions (Deposits, Loans, Remittances, Securities, Money, Foreign Exchange, etc.) and check the daily bank statement and maintain adequate account balance.
- Operate and manage the bank accounting system and subsystems (including SWIFT, custody system, etc.) as well as various branch systems, including servers and related IT infrastructure.
- Loan administration, monitoring of funds transfers (inward and outward remittances), and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Matters relating FATCA, CRS, AML/CFT (control and management of customer remittances) and corporate tax filing.
- Other job assignments include expense-related operations (name screening, invoice management, payment, GST refund claims, corporate income tax-related matters, etc.), HR related operations (salary and claim. payment, individual income tax filing, visa issuance etc.) and general affairs (Contract management etc.) .
- Any other duties to be assigned by General Manager / Deputy General Manager.
【Requirements】
- At least 5 years of working experience in a banking institution and currently working at a bank.
- Understanding of banking operations, internal controls, compliance requirements and administrative functions within a banking environment.
- Ability to understand and implement the Branch's policies, manuals and procedures, and provide guidance, instruction and support to staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with stakeholders in Japan and Singapore.
- Advanced Japanese language proficiency is required, as the position involves preparing reports and business materials in Japanese and coordinating with Head Office, system vendors and other related parties.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
【Preferred Qualifications】
- Experience in banking operations, loan administration, remittance operations, treasury operations, branch administration, compliance, risk management or other related banking functions would be advantageous.
- Experience using banking systems, including SWIFT, accounting systems, custody systems or other banking-related applications.
- Experience in staff supervision, project coordination or administrative management.
