Job Purpose
The Head of Merchandising will be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities within the Production department, ensuring efficient and effective business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Merchandising team, encompassing functions such as Product Development, Costing, Sourcing, Purchasing, and Planning.
- Focus on developing products within the mid-range and low-end market segments.
- Cultivate and expand the capabilities of the Merchandising team.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the CEO.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within the garment industry.
- In-depth knowledge of products and materials, with strong skills in product development and an understanding of merchandising processes.
- Results-driven, able to work under pressure, with excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong team relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
