Job Purpose

The Head of Merchandising will be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities within the Production department, ensuring efficient and effective business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Merchandising team, encompassing functions such as Product Development, Costing, Sourcing, Purchasing, and Planning.
  • Focus on developing products within the mid-range and low-end market segments.
  • Cultivate and expand the capabilities of the Merchandising team.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within the garment industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of products and materials, with strong skills in product development and an understanding of merchandising processes.
  • Results-driven, able to work under pressure, with excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong team relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
