Head of Network Development *Internal applications only*

Summary

Leads sales growth for a logistics network by developing partner relationships, optimizing hub fees, and managing a team to increase market share and revenue.

Focus on sales development within partner network, responsible for the growth of sustainable input volume for TPN and Partners. To increase hub fee revenues and market share and support colleagues to manage risk through targeted sales activity as agreed with management. Oversee the Network Development Team

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.

Key Duties of a Head of Network Development:

  • To drive sales engagement and commercial development with Principals throughout the Network.
  • To work both proactively and strategically with Partner’s sales functions to support the achievement of the TPN budget by optimising the quantity and quality of hub fees.
  • To work strategically with Partner’s sales functions to ensure the current customer base is fit for purpose.
  • To ensure prospect sales pipelines support target volumes and/or target areas.
  • Support the Partner to secure sales, as necessary.
  • Report any Partner concerns to Commercial Director.
  • To work strategically with Partner’s sales functions to support risk reduction and/or cost reduction through positive sales activity.
  • To work with Partners to identify opportunities to improve revenues.
  • To keep up to date with TPN services & capabilities
  • To support marketing activities and initiatives, driving adoption and participation from the Partnership to support business growth and develop the TPN brand value.
  • To report progress to Commercial Director as required.
  • To keep abreast of the evolving pallet industry, monitor market conditions, development potential and competitor activity.
  • Inform, influence and engage all stakeholders.
  • High level of commercial acumen

  • Flexibility to travel where required
  • Ability to identify predicted risks
