Our first course at ASU, Agentic Self, launched last academic year. We are now expanding to new courses, new institutional partners, and new programs with the goal of reaching more than 30 partner institutions and expanding significantly within ASU.

We're a small team building quickly. Things change fast. We value people who bring structure without slowing momentum.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced operator who enjoys building while things are still taking shape.

You'll work closely with the CEO and the ASU leadership teams to build the operational foundation for . You'll improve how we work, create repeatable processes, keep projects moving, and help the organization scale.

This is not a role where every process already exists. We want someone who brings proven operational experience, adapts it to our environment, and continues improving it as we grow.

Success in this role comes from strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to move work forward without waiting for perfect direction.


What You'll Own

Build and improve operations

  • Design and improve the systems that keep running smoothly.

  • Build practical processes that support growth without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures across key business functions.

  • Partner with leadership to improve workflows, compliance, documentation, and internal communication.

Lead program execution

  • Own timelines, priorities, risks, and cross-functional coordination across active initiatives.

  • Keep projects moving by identifying blockers early and driving solutions.

  • Coordinate work across leadership, marketing, content, operations, partner success, and external collaborators.

Support partner delivery

  • Build scalable onboarding processes for new institutional partners.

  • Maintain high-quality external documents, including partnership materials, statements of work, presentations, and status updates.

  • Help ensure commitments to partners are delivered on time and at a high standard.

Build operational rhythm

  • Establish team operating cadences, including weekly meetings, planning sessions, quarterly reviews, and reporting.

  • Improve how information is shared across the organization.

  • Help leadership stay focused on priorities while reducing operational friction.

Champion AI-first workflows

  • Use AI every day to improve productivity, documentation, planning, reporting, and communication.

  • Help the team adopt practical AI workflows that improve how work gets done.

  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and identify opportunities to improve operations.


What We're Looking For

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in operations, program management, Chief of Staff, or a similar leadership role.

  • Experience working in an early-stage startup where processes were built from the ground up.

  • Experience working within larger organizations where governance, structure, and cross-functional collaboration mattered.

  • Strong operational instincts. You naturally create order, improve workflows, and solve problems.

  • Comfortable making decisions without waiting for perfect information.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities may change.
