Head of Partnerships and Distribution Asia Pacific
You will lead broker development and distribution across Asia Pacific from Hong Kong. You will build and manage relationships with licensed specialty brokers, develop qualified submission flow, provide product education, represent the company at industry forums, and turn market feedback into product and underwriting opportunities. You will also build relationships with digital asset operators and help shape the regional operating platform.
Responsibilities
- Build, onboard, and manage a panel of Hong Kong-licensed specialty brokers
- Establish Soter as a preferred capacity partner among licensed and regional specialty brokers
- Route opportunities to the appropriate underwriting team
- Maintain CRM-tracked APAC submission pipeline reports for the Head of Underwriting
- Provide product training, technology walk-throughs, thought leadership, and feedback to brokers
- Represent Soter on panels and at industry forums
- Engage regional regulators and industry bodies at industry level
- Translate market feedback into product development and underwriting actions
- Identify emerging risks and product opportunities across DeFi, tokenisation, Layer-2 infrastructure, and institutional custody
- Help shape the regional operation and its future scaling
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of specialty financial lines distribution experience across Asia Pacific
- Existing broker relationships with global broking houses including Marsh, Aon, WTW, Howden, Lockton, and Gallagher
- Ability to distribute or place at least three of D&O, PI, Crime, Specie, Slashing, and Cyber
- Specialty financial lines background
- Understanding of digital asset risks, including custody architecture, MPC, HSM-based key management, exchange operations, staking, slashing, DeFi protocol risk, bridge risk, and tokenisation
- Ability to think across product lines, jurisdictions, and risk types
- Excellent communication skills and technical literacy
- Right to work in Hong Kong or capacity to obtain a Hong Kong Employment Visa
- Fluent English
- Cantonese strongly preferred
- Mandarin is a plus
