Head of Publishing, Shooters China will be responsible for EA shooter franchise publishing in the market. You will use market information and intelligence to provide feedbacks and suggestions to franchise. You will also manage publishing partner in the market to improve performances. You will manage Go To Market and Goals to the franchises. You will report to General Manager of EA Publishing China.


Market & Product Research

You will monitor China and global FPS game market trends, focusing on core player demands, monetization models, and competitive landscape. This includes tracking trends across sub-genres like tactical shooters, hero shooters, and battle royales. You will analyze genre evolution paths of leading FPS franchises.

Additionally, you will track gameplay improvement trends in both global and Chinese markets.

Product Strategy Development

You will deconstruct core game loops, meta systems and player retention mechanisms of successful FPS titles for us.

You will develop FPS-specific product evaluation frameworks and localization best practices for us.

You will manage in market local research, suggestions and learning cycles, to recommend and suggest adjustments to the franchise.

Cross-regional Coordination

You will lead agreement between global development and China publishing teams You will manage localization processes including cultural adaptation

Data-driven Decision Making

You will integrate market data, operational metrics and competitor intelligence

You will establish product health monitoring systems

Executive Reporting

You will produce professional research reports and presentations

You will present recommendations to senior leadership


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in the game industry with proven experience in FPS game publishing in China
  • Deep and demonstrated understanding of renowned FPS games. This understanding covers their gameplay mechanics, esports ecosystems, community culture, and global market performance. Additionally, hands-on experience operating at least one well-known international IP FPS game.
  • Experience working in multinational game companies is preferred. We require an in-depth understanding of the China FPS game market, including knowledge of player demographics, regulatory environment, competitive dynamics, and preferences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Native Chinese and fluent business English
