Head of Sales, Weddings & Events (Tamil-speaking)

Alangkaar is a Singapore group of wedding and event brands: Alangkaar, Nikah SG, The Ivory Co., Prime Events, The Hire Co. and The Decor Co. One team does planning, décor, a MUIS halal-certified catering kitchen, photography and film, rentals, sound and lighting. We are hiring one Head of Sales to own all of our sales.

The role
You own sales for all six brands, from the first call to the signed contract and first payment. This is a 100% sales role: our operations team delivers the events. Enquiries come to you from our website, WhatsApp, ads and referrals; this is not a cold-calling job.

What you will do
- Work every new enquiry the same day.
- Hold at least 12 qualified meetings a week with couples, families and corporate clients.
- Build every quotation in our pricing system and send it within 24 hours.
- Keep every job at our minimum margin. You sell on value and service, not on discounts.
- Hand every booking to operations with a full brief within 48 hours.
- Keep every lead, quote and next step up to date in our CRM.
- Grow referrals from past clients, and B2B accounts for rentals and corporate events.
- Lead our part-time and online sales desks.

Targets
Total sales of S$150,000 a month by month 3, S$190,000 by month 6 and S$250,000 by month 12.

What you earn
- Basic pay S$4,500 a month + CPF.
- 3% of the gross profit of every event you sell, paid after the event is delivered and paid in full.
- Booking advances in months with strong bookings.
- Retention bonuses: S$3,000 after 12 months and S$5,000 after 24 months.
- At the S$250,000 to S$300,000 target you earn about S$8,000 to S$9,000 a month, and more as the team grows.
- Path to Sales Director as we add closers.
- 14 days annual leave, medical and hospitalisation cover, phone allowance, training budget.

What we look for
- At least 3 years closing wedding, banquet, catering, hotel-event or similar sales, with figures you can show.
- Fluent spoken Tamil and English. Many of our couples and their parents plan their ceremonies in Tamil. Malay is a plus.
- Comfortable with weekend and evening meetings, with days off in lieu.

How we hire
