About the Role:
We are looking for a Head of Security to join our client’s team.
The role covers managing a security team of about 40 employees, protecting the company’s financial and physical assets, clients and employees, preventing fraud and internal misconduct, managing risks, and investigating incidents.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing the company’s security strategy, taking into account the specifics of international financial operations.
- Developing and adapting the strategy for each market where the company operates.
- Leading a security team of about 40 people: setting objectives, assigning areas of responsibility, monitoring results, hiring and developing staff.
- Identifying, assessing and preventing internal and external threats.
- Building a risk management system based on a risk and threat matrix.
- Protecting the company’s funds, gold, crypto assets, offices, employees and other assets.
- Preventing, detecting and investigating fraud, theft, misconduct and other unlawful activities.
- Organizing and managing the cybersecurity function together with the relevant departments.
- Preventing fraud and minimizing risks related to cyber threats.
- Controlling risks related to international money transfers, currency exchange and digital asset operations.
- Organizing internal background checks of employees, clients, partners and counterparties within the security function’s remit.
- Ensuring the physical security of the company’s offices, funds, valuables and facilities.
- Developing and improving security policies, regulations and procedures.
- Identifying vulnerabilities in business processes and developing measures to reduce risks and prevent financial losses.
- Liaising with law enforcement and government authorities on matters within the security function’s remit.
- Participating in crisis management and response to critical incidents.

Requirements:
- Extensive experience leading a security function in the financial sector, a bank, a payment or fintech company.
- Experience in preventing and detecting financial crime and fraud.
- Experience building and managing a structured security function using strategy, a risk and threat matrix, and long-term planning.
- Experience managing a team of 20–40+ employees, organizing departmental work and coordinating various security areas.
- Deep understanding of corporate and financial security.
- Experience preventing and investigating fraud and internal misconduct.
- Understanding of the risks of international money transfers and financial operations.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Systems thinking and the ability to quickly assess risks and make decisions.
- Experience conducting complex internal investigations.
- Ability to work effectively with top management and heads of key functions.
- High standards of confidentiality, accountability and business ethics.
