Head of Transformation(work location: Shenzhen)
Description
This role is based in Shenzhen office (with daily shuttle commuting from/to Hong Kong). Our daily commuting shuttle picks up at Kwun Tong APM at 7:45 am, then stops at The University MTR station at 8:00 am, arrives at the Shenzhen office at 9:00 am. In the afternoon, it heads back to HK at 6:00 pm(on Fridays, it leaves half an hour earlier at 5:30 pm).
About the role
Lead process and systems improvement across Finance, Logistics and Treasury operations, with accountability for implementation, adoption and sustained results. Initially an individual contributor, the role leads cross-functional initiatives with functional leaders and technology partners.
Key responsibilities
Develop a prioritised transformation roadmap with functional leaders. Translate business priorities into business cases, delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
Redesign processes to improve service, controls, data quality and scalability. Work directly with operational teams to develop practical solutions and establish effective working practices.
Manage initiatives through implementation, coordinating business teams, technology resources and providers. Maintain agreed scope, milestones, dependencies and progress reporting.
Evaluate and implement technology, automation and appropriate AI applications, including ERP enhancements. Coordinate requirements, testing, training and operational support.
Lead improvement delivery with functional heads, who retain responsibility for daily operations, domain requirements and operational acceptance.
Remain accountable through implementation and handover. Validate benefits and user adoption, with clear process ownership and appropriate controls.
About you
Substantial experience delivering cross-functional process or systems improvements, including Finance and operational processes.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or a related field is expected. Audit background preferred.
Evidence of personal accountability for implementation, user adoption and sustained results is essential.
Practical delivery with business teams and effective leadership without direct authority.
Strong business analysis, programme management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Practical understanding of ERP systems, automation and business applications of AI.
Logistics, shared services or Treasury experience is useful.
Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
