Head of Treasury & Group Commercial

We are seeking an experienced Head of Treasury & Group Commercial to join our Group Finance Leadership Team.

Reporting to the General Manager Group Finance, this influential leadership role is responsible for overseeing Bapcor’s treasury, funding and capital management activities while also providing strategic commercial finance support to key corporate functions including Technology, People & Culture, Finance and Legal.

This role offers a unique blend of treasury leadership, commercial business partnering and strategic decision support, providing direct exposure to executive leadership, lenders and key business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Bapcor’s Treasury function, including capital management, liquidity planning, debt facilities, banking relationships and covenant compliance.
• Develop and execute treasury strategies that support the Group’s growth objectives, funding requirements and risk management framework.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation and treasury reporting to support informed decision-making.
• Identify, assess and mitigate treasury-related risks, including funding, liquidity and interest rate exposures.
• Partner with Group Function leaders across Technology, People & Culture, Finance and Legal to provide commercial insights and strategic financial support.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, business case development and investment analysis for Group Functions, ensuring strong financial discipline and value creation.
• Deliver timely financial reporting, performance analysis and recommendations to executive leadership, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
• Lead and develop the Group Commercial team while driving continuous improvement across treasury, commercial finance, systems, governance and reporting processes.

You are a commercially astute finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking and executive-level influence.

You will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent professional qualification)
• Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline
• 10+ years' experience across treasury, corporate finance, commercial finance, transaction services or related disciplines
• Proven experience leading treasury operations, funding strategies and banking relationships
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
• Advanced financial modelling, investment appraisal and valuation capability
• Experience presenting recommendations and insights to Executive Leadership Teams, Finance Leadership Teams and Boards
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex information into clear commercial outcomes

Highly Regarded

• Experience within retail, distribution, wholesale or multi-site organisations
• Experience working within an ASX-listed environment
• Exposure to capital management, debt refinancing and strategic transformation initiatives
