Job Description:
The Head of Welding Applications & R&D holds a pivotal role at Synergyx Technology, driving the technical core of the company's welding solutions business and its research and development strategy. This role is central to the company's ability to deliver high-value welding solutions to customers and to advance its multi process welding technology capabilities — directly supporting the company's competitive positioning and long-term growth in the welding technology industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the end-to-end delivery of welding application solutions for Synergyx's industrial and manufacturing customers, serving as the company's principal technical authority on complex welding challenges
- Set the technical direction and roadmap for the company's research and development of advanced welding technologies, including multi process welding integrating laser, TIG, and MIG techniques
- Lead the evaluation, testing, and validation of new welding equipment, materials, and process innovations, directly shaping the company's product and technology offerings
- Serve as the senior technical point of contact for key customers, diagnosing and resolving high-complexity welding process issues and advising on process optimization strategies
- Translate customer and market requirements into R&D priorities, ensuring the company's technology development remains aligned with industry needs and commercial opportunities
- Represent Synergyx's technical capabilities to customers, partners, and industry bodies, reinforcing the company's credibility and reputation in advanced welding technology
- Mentor and guide technical staff involved in application engineering and R&D activities
- Prepare and present technical strategy updates, R&D outcomes, and innovation roadmaps to company leadership
Job Requirements:
· Professional welding certification or closely related field
· At least 5 years of strong welding skills, metallurgical knowledge and practical problem solving ability
· Extensive technical experience in welding technology and development strategies
