Head, Operations - Accounting

Role Summary:

The Head, Operations – Accounting is responsible for leading the accounting operations function to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial and investment reporting. The role strengthens the accounting control environment, drives operational efficiency and transformation, and leads a high-performing team to deliver reliable outcomes for clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.

What Business Outcomes the Role is Responsible for:

• Deliver Accounting & Reporting Excellence: Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial statements, NAV calculations, tax filings, and client and regulatory reports, with critical deliverables completed within agreed service levels and without material errors.
• Strengthen Governance, Risk & Operational Excellence: Maintain a robust accounting control environment through effective reconciliations, audit readiness, risk management, and regulatory compliance while driving automation and process improvements that enhance accuracy, scalability, and service quality.
• Build a High-Performing Accounting Function: Lead and develop the Accounting team while strengthening collaboration with senior management, auditors, regulators, custodians, fund managers, administrators, and service providers to enable seamless operational delivery.
  

What we’re looking for in a successful candidate:

• Accounting & Financial Expertise: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of Accountancy/Accounting, with strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, bank accounting, and financial statement analysis to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant accounting operations.
  
• Investment & Regulatory Knowledge: Applies a strong understanding of trust and investment regulations, banking and financial services, asset management products, and industry developments to maintain compliant and effective accounting operations.
• Strategic Leadership & Execution: Leads through sound decision-making, stakeholder management, coaching and talent development, problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and change management while delivering effectively under demanding regulatory and operational timelines.
