Head - Supply Chain Management - Aerospace

Role Overview:

As the Head of Supply Chain Management, you will lead the end-to-end orchestration of our procurement, logistics, and inventory operations in Bangalore. You will serve as a critical link between engineering, production, and external vendors, ensuring that our specialized material requirements are met with precision. This role involves driving strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing inventory turnover for high-value components, and implementing robust supply chain analytics to support our rapid scaling efforts. You will work closely with the leadership team to build a resilient, cost-effective, and agile supply chain that sustains our commitment to technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with production schedules to ensure zero downtime in manufacturing operations.

- Lead procurement activities by identifying and onboarding high-quality vendors for specialized raw materials and technical components to maintain competitive cost structures.

- Implement advanced demand planning models that account for lead-time volatility and project-based requirements to optimize working capital.

- Manage inventory control systems to ensure high accuracy and availability of critical composite materials and hardware parts.

- Oversee the integration of SCM modules to streamline data flow, improve reporting accuracy, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.

- Develop and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, data-driven problem solving, and operational efficiency.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex supply chains within high-tech or manufacturing environments, with 15 - 18 years of progressive experience.

- Strong analytical capability to translate supply chain data into strategic business outcomes, including cost reduction and lead-time optimization.

- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills to build long-term partnerships with global and domestic suppliers.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Bangalore, working collaboratively across cross-functional engineering and operations teams.

- A degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, preferably supplemented by an MBA from a premier institute, to provide the necessary strategic foundation for this leadership role.

- Candidates from Aerospace industry and Composite Knowledge is a must
