Health and Safety Engineer
The health and safety engineer at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment across all company projects and operations. This role involves identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites and facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Perform risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate identified safety risks.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide health and safety training and awareness programs to employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Monitor adherence to safety regulations and conduct periodic reviews to update safety management systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated with industry safety standards, laws, and best practices to enhance the company’s safety culture.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in health and safety engineering, preferably within construction or real estate development.
- Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations and standards.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Excellent risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
- Effective communication and training skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
