Health Coach Manager
You'll step into an immediate clinical leadership opportunity, before moving into a team lead position within the AU Health Coaching function as the role evolves. You'll hold the team accountable to high standards, shape our nutrition position across weight management and emerging conditions, and serve as the nutrition voice in cross-functional decisions. This role reports to the Clinical Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and performance manage a remote team of dietitians, setting clear expectations and holding the team to them
- Run regular 1:1s and group sessions focused on coaching quality, patient outcomes, and professional development
- Build a team culture of ownership where coaches drive their own development
- Lead leaders where relevant; align stakeholders and drive accountability across the coaching function
- Own the clinical standards for how coaching is delivered across the patient journey
- Conduct coaching audits and structured quality reviews using call rubrics and patient feedback
- Own governance frameworks and manage systemic risk across health coaching
- Lead upskilling initiatives to enable high quality care across existing and emerging conditions
- Define how to coach across new conditions entering the platform, ensuring the approach is evidence-based and scalable
- Contribute to patient-facing content, messaging guides, and care frameworks
- Design scalable systems and optimise delivery across teams
- Connect service data to business outcomes to inform strategy
- Drive cross-team innovation and scale successful initiatives across the coaching function
- Work closely with product and patient operation teams to inform how the platform supports patient outcomes
- Represent the nutrition and dietetic voice in cross-functional decisions
- Use patient satisfaction data as the primary lens for evaluating team and service performance
- Champion a coaching model that prioritises depth of relationship over volume of interaction
Requirements
- Accredited Practising Dietitian with strong grounding in medicated weight management
- Proven clinical leadership experience managing or mentoring a clinical team
- Multi-team or functional leadership experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in coaching audits, quality review, and governance
- Deep knowledge of motivational interviewing and behaviour change frameworks
- Strong cross-functional communication skills for leading a remote team across time zones
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced digital health environment
