WE ARE LOOKING FOR: HES&S SPECIALIST
We have a great opportunity for a Specialist with our Health, Environmental, Safety, and Security Team (HES&S). This position supports the development and implementation of HES&S and operational practices, verifies consistent application, and validates their effectiveness. The Specialist supports company employees and contractors in performing their jobs in alignment with regulatory and FEFs HES&S requirements and monitors the company's facilities' safety, integrity, and security. This role provides expertise and acts on conditions necessary to maintain workers’ safety, public safety, prevent losses, protect the environment, and the company’s reputation. It will be based in Livermore, CA, with general HES&S support for the entire company, and field support to operations in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Assist in developing FEF’s HES&S Management System and related programs.
- Assist with past work reviews and future work planning to build safety capacity.
- Provide technical expertise in HES&S regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in personal safety and system safety hazard assessments and controls implementation.
- Provide administrative and field support for general regulatory compliance.
- Collect and analyze HES&S data and indicators, and report learnings and recommendations.
- Facilitate field hazard assessments in regular operations and projects.
- Conduct field inspections and audits at operations and project sites.
- Facilitate selected event reviews, including incidents, and assist with action implementation.
- Support the development and delivery of HES&S training.
- Participate in emergency planning, response, and engagement with external stakeholders.
- Assist with the vehicle fleet administration and risk management.
- Participate in initiatives and projects with other departments as a safety stakeholder.
- Lead assigned HES&S projects.
