Health Information Management Technician
What You’ll Do
Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized, energetic Health Information Management Technician to support accurate, timely medical records and strong HIPPA compliance in a busy onsite setting. This role helps ensure patient information is complete, secure, and easy for care teams to access.
Key responsibilities include scanning and indexing documents into the EHR, performing filing and record retrieval, assisting with release-of-information workflows, and applying ICD-10 & CPT coding knowledge as needed to maintain record integrity. You’ll also handle routine audits, track requests, and communicate clearly with patients, providers, and coworkers.
Required skills/qualifications:
- Strong typing skills and EHR software proficiency
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and privacy practices
- ICD-10 & CPT coding knowledge
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
