Analyzes Medicare legal and regulatory policies, drafts regulations, and ensures compliance with CMS objectives while collaborating with stakeholders.
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare. As a Health Insurance Specialist, referred here as a HIS (Statue & Legislation Oversight), GS-0107-13, you will serve as a Legal Analyst & subject-matter expert supporting development/analysis/implementation and maintenance of Medicare policies/programs and operational initiatives and focus on legal/regulatory issues affecting the Medicare program.
Serve as an expert on Medicare legal and regulatory policy affecting Medicare.
Lead the development, review and clearance of Medicare regulations and policies to ensure compliance with CMS program objectives.
Conduct legal policy and operational analyses related to Medicare making recommendations and process improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate policy impacts, resolve legal and regulatory issues and support Medicare initiatives.
