- $61,425 - $90,000 (please note that this is an estimate and actual pay will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and professional certifications.)
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on legislation, regulations, and internal HSE policies while providing guidance, mentoring, and support to operations teams.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate hazards, including conducting risk assessments, performing workplace inspections, and making recommendations through Intelex to improve workplace conditions.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to promote a positive safety culture and support site emergency response teams, including fire brigade and medical response.
- Administer the site’s Incident Database (Intelex), respond to injuries/incidents, and lead or support investigations to determine root causes and preventative actions.
- Analyze HSE metrics and trends to provide data‑driven recommendations and corrective actions that strengthen safety performance.
- Maintain and continuously improve HSE systems, act as a liaison with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies, and support both internal and external audits.
- Prepare and manage key HSE documentation, including policies, procedures, and environmental reporting, while also supporting the Return‑to‑Work program.
- Post-secondary education in occupational health, ergonomics, health and safety, environmental, engineering or other related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of occupational health, ergonomics, health and safety, environmental, engineering, or other related job experience is preferred. Experience in manufacturing is also preferred.
- CRSP, CRST, or CHSC certification is preferred.
- Certification or experience in auditing (COR auditing or ISO 45001), guarding (CMSE) or certification in other related fields is preferred.
- Communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and stakeholders to support clarity, engagement, and alignment.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks, schedules, and projects while adapting to rapidly changing workplace conditions.
- Analyze safety‑related data to identify improvement opportunities and assess complex issues to recommend practical, solutions‑focused actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams while providing timely support, guidance, and problem‑solving leadership.
