Health System Specialist (Compliance Officer)
One (1) Permanent Full-Time Health Systems Specialist (Compliance Officer) position to be filled in the Quality Management Department (QM) at the Whiteriver Service Unit in Whiteriver, Arizona. The Incumbent is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the compliance program for WRSU. The Incumbent will be supervised by the QM Director. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Provides compliance information to help the service unit management find new ways to improve decision making, quality, and reduce its vulnerability to fraud, waste and abuse. Implements, documents and maintains a coordinated legislative and regulatory compliance program that meets the expectations of State and Federal regulations and Government Programs. Responsible for developing a tool to monitor and devise reporting mechanisms for high risk areas identified in audits in reference to compliance for the service unit. Conducts periodic reviews to assess adherence to service unit compliance plan requirements. Reviews shall include confirmation that appropriate records have been created and maintained. Conducts training to new and existing employees on compliance matters at the mandatory new staff orientation, general staff meetings and departmental meetings, and any other forums as requested.
