Health System Specialist

About the Position The Health System Specialist provides support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir VA, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.

Monitor the Military Healthcare System (MHS) for trends, analysis, and comparisons, gather and interpret data.

Provide substantive management support in the areas of program cost analysis, annual and multi-year fiscal planning, and development of annual health promotion programs.

Develop and/or assist with the implementation of metrics for program evaluation.

Advise Supervisor of ongoing allocations that require re-budgeting due to changes in program staffing, new facilities, locations, requirements to maintain accreditation, or other situations.

Monitor propriety of expenditure requests, use and reimbursement rate of budgeted funds.

Monitor and/or coordinate personnel matters (e.g. recruitment and placement actions, removal and suspension actions, EEO complaints, denial of within grade actions, performance management, etc.).

Manage, monitor and/or ensure Joint Commissions and required inspection compliance.
