Health System Specialist
About the Position: This position represents the military interest in the Veterans Affairs/Department of Defense Joint Venture (VA/DoD JV) by serving as the Medical Group JV Director and regularly consults and interfaces with DoD, congressional, and other high-level governing agencies on all matters relating to the Gulf Coast JV Program. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
Develop and implement all aspects of the Joint Venture (JV) integration and sharing opportunities within current and/or planned health care facilities in support of the shared organizational vision and goals.
Advise on initiatives to develop health care services and processes that will allow collaboration on staffing resources and cost avoidance benefits.
Evaluate and analyze complex internal and external processes resulting in products and consultation focused on improving effectiveness, efficiency, and cost savings for the Medical Group and Joint Venture program.
Identify, develop, and implement management and operating procedures to start up new JV services and resolve problems that may arise throughout the medical center involving services, facility planning, JV employees, and VA beneficiaries.
Audit and analyze complex beneficiary enrollment, resource capability, and healthcare demand.
Recommend most cost-effective means of providing specific healthcare product line services.
Coordinate administrative, clinical, financial reimbursement and technological issues relating to the JV and serve as a conduit for effective communication between the two federal agencies.
