Health Technician (Audiology)

About the Position: This position is located at General Leonard Wood Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Coordinate and administer microcomputer driven audiometric examinations performed to determine hearing loss.

Reviews audiograms and makes judgments in accordance with standard operating procedures about need for follow-on testing.

Provides regulatory guidance to patients seeking occupational health assistance and forwards technical interpretation issues.

Perform mandated calibration checks on equipment and records results.

Assist in completing periodic range surveys to ensure proper use of hearing protection by all troops in the field and to check for proper signage in noise-hazardous areas.
