Health Technician (Clinical Assistant)

This position provides assistance to the health providers in performing clinical assistant procedures and patient care in the outpatient clinic. Position is located within a Service Unit, IHS Hospital, Browning, Poplar, Harlem or Hays, MT. Incumbent reports to the outpatient Supervisory Clinical Nurse. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Health Technician Total Compensation Clean and stock the unit, clean used instruments and equipment, and dispose of waste materials Process new admissions by taking vital signs, height, weight, and other patient information and recording in patient's record. Report finding to charge nurse or nurse assigned to patient. Assist in emergency situations, including CPR. Obtain and record vital signs on Electronic Health Record. Prepare patients for examination and assists with minor procedures Conduct patient interview to complete GPRA measures.
