Health Technician (Diets)
About the Position: This position is with the Nutrition Care Division, Production and Service Branch located at Tripler Army Medical Center, on the Island of Oahu, HI. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Maintain control of inpatient meal orders and room service menus.
Input data into a nutrition software program.
Receive orders for early, late, and hold trays from ward staff to ensure all providers have proper meals for patient care.
Provide cross coverage in the Call Center as needed fielding patient diet calls.
Collect objective data from medical records including patient's diagnosis, laboratory test results, anthropometric measures, medical history, and medication.
Evaluate individual patient's understanding of nutrition counseling to assess their potential for compliance and ability to choose an adequate diet.
