Healthcare Attendant

Job Summary

To provide compassionate and comprehensive care to the seniors attending the Maintenance Day Care Centre. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment, and assisting the seniors with their personal care and daily living activities to enhance their well-being and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care including hygiene, diaper changes, and elimination needs to maintain their dignity and comfort.
• Support clients’ mobility and rest periods to ensure safety and comfort throughout the day.
• Escort and settle seniors upon arrival and provide transport escort to ensure safe transit.
• Serve meals and provide feeding assistance to meet clients’ nutritional and hydration needs.
• Supervise clients during excursions to ensure their safety and active participation.
• Monitor clients’ health status and promptly report any changes in condition or signs of illness to the staff.
• Document client activities, observations, and condition changes accurately and regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by cleaning and disinfecting activity rooms, therapy areas, and toilets.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Primary or Secondary education preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, eldercare, or cleaning is an advantage.
• Physically fit to perform manual work.
• Ability to communicate simple English or other local languages are an advantage.
• Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills as a team player.
