Healthcare Attendant (Night Shift Only)
Summary
Provides overnight personal care to patients, assists nurses with clinical tasks, and ensures hygiene and comfort in a healthcare setting.
Fixed Night Shift, 7.00pm to 7.00am
5 days work week, rotational off.
- Providing personal care assistance to patients, including helping with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming
- Supporting qualified nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering clinical care and treatments
- Maintaining patient comfort and dignity by ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Assisting with vital signs monitoring and basic health observations under supervision
- Supporting maternal and child health services, including assistance during postnatal visits and child health clinics
- Communicating compassionately with patients and their families, providing emotional support and reassurance
- Maintaining accurate and timely records of patient care activities and observations
- Adhering to infection control procedures and maintaining strict hygiene standards
- Assisting with the movement and mobilisation of patients safely and appropriately
- Supporting the coordination of patient care schedules and appointments
- Reporting any changes in patient condition or concerns to nursing staff promptly
