Client Overview and Job Summary
Our client is a growing U.S.-based healthcare company focused on expanding access to hearing care by building partnerships between optometry and audiology practices.
This is primarily a business development and appointment-setting role (approximately 75%), with the remaining 25% focused on billing, insurance verification, and healthcare administrative support.
A key focus of the role is outbound business development. You should be confident in picking up the phone, initiating conversations with prospective partners, reaching business owners and decision-makers, generating interest, and booking qualified meetings for the client.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Appointment Setting - Approximately 75%
- Conduct outbound calls and email outreach to optical centers, optometry practices, audiology centers, and other prospective partners.
- Research and identify partnership opportunities in Arizona and across the U.S.
- Connect with business owners and decision-makers, introduce partnership opportunities, and generate interest.
- Qualify prospects and schedule partnership meetings for the client to close.
- Maintain consistent outbound activity and professionally follow up with prospects.
- Track leads, outreach activities, follow-ups, and appointments accurately.
- Help develop an organized and repeatable outreach process.
- Recommend CRM, lead-generation, or outreach tools that can improve efficiency and results.
- Proactively identify new opportunities and strategies for business growth.
Medical Billing & Insurance Support - 25%
Approximately 25% of the role may involve intermittent billing and insurance-related tasks.
- Assist with medical billing and insurance verification.
- Use Availity for billing and insurance-related processes.
- Support billing related to hearing aid fitting procedures.
- Maintain accurate billing and administrative records.
- Provide healthcare administrative support as needed.

- At least 2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, lead generation, appointment setting, or a similar role.
- Proven experience with cold calling and outbound email outreach.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with business owners, practice leaders, and other key decision-makers.
- Strong ability to build rapport, generate interest, qualify prospects, handle initial objections, and secure appointments.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, and Calendar.
- Resourceful and comfortable suggesting improvements to tools, workflows, and outreach processes.
- Adaptable and able to balance business development responsibilities with occasional billing and administrative tasks.
- Strong sense of ownership with a proactive, get-it-done mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Availity, medical billing, insurance verification, or insurance eligibility checks.
- Previous experience supporting a U.S.-based healthcare company or medical practice.
- Healthcare administrative experience, particularly within optometry, audiology, hearing care, or related specialties.
- Experience with HubSpot, Copper, Grasshopper, Google Voice, or similar CRM and VoIP platforms.
- Experience developing, documenting, or improving outbound sales and lead-generation processes.
- Familiarity with B2B healthcare partnerships or business development targeting medical practices.
