Summary: An IQ Analysis Associate reviews, organizes and distributes the daily bill report. The IQA Associate will organize the report according to department policies and procedures. The IQA Associate will enter all information on the daily bill report and once complete, provide it to the negotiations team. They will also complete negotiations based on a dollar threshold established in the department policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review, organize and distribute the daily report to the negotiations team.

Negotiate discounts based Policies and Procedures, client direction, state guidelines and like services.

Ability to interpret reviewed claims and reason codes to determine if the claim is negotiable.

Reviews department policies and procedures regularly.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An individual must be proficient in Microsoft applications and have the ability to research via the internet to obtain fax numbers etc. An individual must be organized and have the ability to multitask. Must be willing to take on special projects and new assignments as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma

1 year claims experience

Language Skills:

Working knowledge of medical terminology and related reports. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, medical reports, and correspondence from providers requesting information.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills:

Basic understanding of Internet, Windows interface, and software applications.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Claim knowledge of surgery, hospital, physician, DME bills
