Description

At a glance

  • A structured, cohort-based leadership fellowship – not a conventional job
  • 12-month Internship (Specialist track) or 24-month Fellowship (Analyst/Associate track), with promotion available for those who meet the bar
  • Direct mentorship from ex-McKinsey and clinical leadership
  • 1-3 months of in-person training in the U.S. each year, contingent on individual English proficiency and performance
  • Program-completion bonus paid at each milestone
  • Interested candidates should apply via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XelayAcumenJobs (all materials are required to be in English)

THIS IS A FELLOWSHIP, NOT JUST A JOB
We are upfront about what this role is: a structured, accelerated development program designed to compress years of professional growth into 12–24 months. It is built for people who want to use this time as a launchpad – into Xelay leadership, into another top-tier firm, into medicine, into industry, or into founding something of their own.
Every Analyst is paired with senior mentors, given real client responsibility from day one, and evaluated on a transparent set of milestones. In exchange, we ask for a genuine commitment to the full program period. This is intentional: the training investment we make in each Fellow only pays off – for you and for us – if you stay long enough to complete it. If you are looking for a short-term placeholder while you interview elsewhere, this is not the right fit, and we would rather find that out now than a couple of months in.

WHY WE TRAIN YOU IN CORE CONSULTING SKILLS
Regardless of what you do after Xelay, the skills below compound across any industry, company, or leadership track, which is why they sit at the center of our curriculum:
-Structuring: breaking down ambiguous, high-stakes problems into components that can actually be solved
-Problem-solving: moving from data and research to a defensible, evidence-based recommendation
-CRISP communication: delivering clear, concise, and impactful messages that will be well received by executive-level audiences
-Early and often communication: surfacing problems and half-finished work before they become expensive, rather than waiting for a perfect answer
-Teamwork: operating inside small, high-trust teams under deadline pressure without sacrificing quality
-Management: learning to direct the work of others – delegating, reviewing, and giving feedback – well before most peers get the chance
-Strategy: connecting day-to-day analysis back to the client’s (or your own) bigger picture and long-term goals
These are the same muscles built at top-tier strategy firms – we simply teach them in a smaller, more hands-on setting, with more direct access to senior leadership than a large firm can offer.

DIRECT EXPOSURE TO LEADING HEALTHCARE & STRATEGY PROFESSIONALS
Our leadership and mentors have built their careers at the institutions our Fellows aspire to join – and they are directly involved in your development, not one step removed from it:
-Leadership team includes a former McKinsey & Company consultant with 10 years of strategy consulting experience, and practicing physicians licensed in the U.S.
-Colleagues and mentors hold degrees from prestige institutions, such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, University of California, Berkeley, Johns Hopkins University, National Taiwan University, etc.
-Our clinical and research work has been published in journals including the Journal of Urology, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Therapeutic Advances in Urology, and Hormone Research in Paediatrics
-Bi-weekly 1:1s with senior team leads, plus leadership coaching from an Executive Leadership Coach typically reserved for C-level executives
