As a Healthcare Internal Audit Manager, you will manage and perform highly complex financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of systems, processes, and controls. Within the clinical enterprise, you will lead healthcare-specific audits across revenue cycle, privacy, and regulatory areas, applying deep healthcare domain expertise to risk assessment, audit planning, execution, and reporting. You will engage stakeholders including clinical leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and risk/compliance teams, serving as the subject-matter resource on healthcare internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Beyond audit work, your responsibilities extend to internal consultation, investigation, and advisory services, along with providing guidance, review, and project direction to audit teams, and supervising and developing staff.

The expected pay range for this position is $116,208 to $167,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.

Core Duties:
Manage and conduct highly complex financial, operational, and
compliance audits in accordance with the International Standards for the
Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Manage and conduct periodic follow-up reviews to assess and
report on progress or completion of management's corrective actions in
response to internal audit observations and recommendations.
Manage and conduct investigations of suspected irregular conduct
in conjunction with other university resources.
Review documentation of audit team to ensure it supports
conclusions and results based on appropriate analyses and
evaluations.
Assist in development of the annual risk assessment and audit
plan.
Provide guidance and direction to audit team.
Provide internal control consultation and advisory services to
senior management.
Develop and maintain productive customer and staff relationships;
become a trusted and valued partner.
Minimum Education and
Experience
Bachelor's degree and eight years relevant experience or combination
of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and oral communications
and leadership skills.
Advanced knowledge of OMB Circulars A-21, A-110 and A-133
desirable.
Advanced Knowledge of the International Standards for the
Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles and Generally Accepting Auditing Standards.
Demonstrates ability to establish operational objectives, work
plans and delegate to team members.
Demonstrates excellent judgment and sound decision making to
obtain viable solutions.
Demonstrates ability to implement strategic policy

Certificates and Licenses Required
