HealthMerch - E-commerce Marketing Specialist
10x revenue, recover #1 Google rankings, and run creative campaigns.
$3,500-$4,000/month | Full-time | EST overlapWe're HealthMerch, and we run Say It With A Condom - an e-commerce brand selling customized foil-wrapper condoms to health organizations, college campuses, and corporate buyers. Our customers include HIV organizations, sexual assault awareness groups, college women's health centers, Pride organizers, and brands promoting their business, product, service, or event. We run on Shopify with HubSpot as our CRM, and everything is drop-shipped.
The site has generated orders organically for years, but we've never had a dedicated marketer on it. After a site migration, we're ready to turn the marketing engine back on.
This role exists to own the marketing for Say It With A Condom and aggressively grow revenue - ideally 10x revenue in year one, profitably, ideally including getting back to #1 on Google. You'll turn the marketing engine back on, drive us back to the top of the rankings, and unlock the larger health-related and corporate buyer opportunities.
This is a creative, autonomous role for someone who builds campaigns from scratch, not someone who runs another team's playbook.
In this role, you will:
π― Own marketing for the Say It With A Condom Shopify store, end-to-end
π Run SEO (including programmatic SEO) to recover top Google rankingsπ§ Plan and execute outbound email campaigns to health organizations, HIV groups, and college campuses (women's health centers, sex centers)
π Build a marketing calendar around key dates - Pride (June), National HIV Testing Day, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, National Condom Week, World AIDS Day - and create campaigns around them
π‘ Brief the creative director (once hired) on new condom designs tied to events and current news, using AI tools to rapidly generate concepts
π» List new products on Shopify and manage the store day-to-day (light touch β no custom theme work)
π€ Manage relationships with existing external contractors (PPC team, SEO, PR)
π¦ Identify and add a small number of complementary products (harm reduction supplies, safer-sex kits)
π Look for PR and media angles and pitch ideas when news cycles create opportunities
This is a full-time role and you'll need 4-5 hours of crossover with EST.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need:
β Hands-on e-commerce marketing experience with demonstrable results
β Strong SEO skills - goal is to get back to #1 on Google
β Email marketing experience
β Ability to run creative campaigns end-to-end, not just execute someone else's plan
β Heavy, fluent use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to multiply output
β Comfort marketing condoms and sexual-health products; comfortable with the LGBT community and willing to push the needle on messaging
β Strong grasp of ICP - who we're selling to (health orgs, HIV orgs, college campuses, corporate/event buyers) and how to message them
Brownie points for:
β Direct Shopify experience
β HubSpot experience (or equivalent CRM)
β Ability to manage or oversee a PPC relationship
β Klaviyo or similar email platform experience
You're creative, hungry, and full of ideas - the kind of person who sees the product and immediately starts riffing on campaigns.
You're warm, and high-energy in conversation. You're comfortable being a little cheeky and pushing the needle on sexual-health messaging. You're an autonomous self-starter who can own a marketing function and make it rain. The product and the niche genuinely excite you, not turn you off.
You might lean a little younger or less experienced - that's fine if you bring a ton of ideas and energy.
