Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic

Rizzo Electrical Contractors, Inc. seeks a Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic in a full-time position. The Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans and forklifts as directed by their Manager. The ideal candidate is a reliable mechanic who is comfortable working on a variety of trucks and equipment in a busy construction environment.

Responsibilities Include:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs.
• Work on brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, engines, and general truck components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Help keep vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for the road.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate with the fleet/equipment team regarding repairs and vehicle needs.
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory compliance standards.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Knowledgeable in preventative maintenance, electrical, suspension, brakes, drive train, Diesel Engines, Hydraulic systems.
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical ability and good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, responsible, and safety-minded.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL driver’s license is a plus.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
