Heavy Duty Truck Technician

DePaula Chevrolet is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Truck Service Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have at least on year of experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty trucks. This This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high quality repairs in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service.
• Repair and service engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering and suspension components , and drive train systems.
• Inspect, repair, and replace wheels, tires, axles, and related components.
• Diagnose and repair accelerator, fuel, ant throttle control systems.
• Perform brake inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturers and safety standards.
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer repair procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of heavy-duty truck service technician experience required.
• Valid NYS driver license and clean driving abstract.
• Experience with engine diagnostics and repair.
• NY Inspector license.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to lift 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial truck dealership or fleet maintenance experience.
• Diesel engine experience.
• CDL and ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications are a plus but not required.

Compensation:

• Flat Rate, $30.00 to $50.00 per hour depending on experience.
• Weekly Pay
