Heavy Equipment Operator

The ideal candidate is a safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator with 5+ years of experience operating mobile equipment in an industrial or materials-handling environment. They are dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable performing basic maintenance and minor repairs, and committed to safe, efficient operations.

What You Will Do

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will safely operate mobile heavy equipment to receive, move, stockpile, and load materials while supporting efficient day-to-day operations.

Safely operate heavy equipment while meeting production and operational goals.
Receive, move, stockpile, recover, and load materials.
Set up and operate equipment used in monofill operations.
Perform routine equipment inspections, safety checks, and basic servicing.
Perform minor equipment repairs and basic welding as needed.
Identify and report equipment maintenance or repair needs.
Maintain clean and safe grounds, work areas, and facilities.
Complete basic operational reports and documentation.
Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, vendors, and visitors.
Provide operational leadership or support as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Abilities You Will Need

High school diploma or GED.
5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
Basic welding and mechanical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Basic math skills.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
Ability to work independently and as part of an operations team.
