Heavy Equipment Operator - Infrastructure

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and securely to minimize the risk of injury and property damage. Equipment utilized in this position includes, but is not limited to, trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes, blades, graders, compactors, and other specialized equipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes, etc.

· Operate all heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to all applicable policies and procedures.

· Responsible for excavating trenches, digging holes, leveling dirt, and leveling asphalt.

· Reads and interprets grade and slope stakes and plans.

· Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.

· Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.

· May perform general laborer duties as needed.

· Transport vehicle equipped with tools and materials to job sites.

· Adheres to procedures, regulations, and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.

· Follow instructions and comprehend construction needs.

· Regular attendance is required according to company policy to ensure the crew can operate at the normal efficiency level.

· Performs other duties of a similar or related nature as assigned.
