Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor
NewAbout the Position: Supervise a team overhauling and repairing highly complex equipment, including diesel-electric locomotives, gantry cranes, electrical power generation sets, and heavy construction vehicles. Utilize computerized maintenance systems (FEM) to plan work, manage contractor support, and oversee depot safety.
Serves as the first line supervisor, exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations involving approximately 8-10 subordinate WG-5803-11 Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanics.
Performs and oversees subordinate employees performing Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic functions
Supports coordinating, planning, organizing and accomplishing depot-level, direct support and general support maintenance.
Plans daily, weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for, subordinates.
Selects workers and assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures; and provides advice when problems arise.
As Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, exercises principal leadership and directs a subordinate staff of approximately 15 to 18 team members. Supervises Facility Maintenance Branch Personnel at the Tooele Army Depot.
