HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT REPAIRER
Summary
Repairs and maintains a wide range of military tactical equipment at the Marine Corps' Exercise Support Division, assisting higher-graded mechanics with disassembly, repair, and assembly of major systems such as engines, transmissions, drivelines, and hydraulic systems. Work involves replacing worn parts, performing Limited Technical Inspections, and following technical manuals.

You will perform work involved in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of Military Tactical Equipment found in the Exercise Support Division.
You will assist higher graded Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanics in the disassembling, repairing, and assembling of major systems, components, and operating mechanisms.
You will make repairs that can be accomplished by removing, adjusting; or replacing defective or worn parts and components.
You will complete Limited Technical Inspections (LTI) in order to locate improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement.
You will comply with appropriate repair methods, technical manuals, specifications and procedures.
You will assist in the complete overhaul and repair of major systems such as engines, transmissions, drivelines, and hydraulic utility systems.
You will replace seals, shaft sealing rings, wiring harnesses, starting switches, sensors, fuel pumps, adjust voltage, brakes, and transmission linkages, replace filters, battery cables, engine components, and injector nozzles.
You will assist the journeyman level mechanic to test the final product and make final adjustments as assigned.
