About the role
We’re seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated team. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll take charge of servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of trucks. This full-time role (Monday–Friday, with rostered Saturday work) offers variety, stability, and the chance to work across premium brands including Volvo, Mack, and UD.
Your main responsibilities
Carrying out repairs, servicing, and inspections on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and drivelines
Using advanced diagnostic software and computer systems to identify and resolve issues
Preparing detailed, clear reports on repair work, supplies, and recommendations
Mentoring and guiding apprentice technicians, ensuring safe work practices
You will need to have
Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a focus on safety
Experience in the heavy vehicle industry (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge of American, European, or Japanese drivelines (highly regarded)
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Current HC/HR licence (advantageous, not essential)
Own toolkit and full working rights in Australia
