The company specialises in mechanically repairs, inspections and maintenance of a variety of trucks including European, Japanese and American brands. They offer state-of-the art technology for diagnosing issues in order to implement accurate solutions.

The Position…

In this position, you will be required to work autonomously without supervision in a busy workshop between the hours of 6am and 4pm (Monday to Friday), where you will be performing routine maintenance on trucks to ensure optimal vehicle operations. You will be required to inspect various parts of the trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the correct condition to operate effectively.

Further responsibilities include:

• Use of pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists and jacks to repair trucks while utilising safety precautions.
  
• Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devises such as engine analysers and chassis charts to determine how to address the issues.
  
• Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions.
  

• Trade qualification with a minimum of 2 years of experience (Post trade) as a diesel mechanic.
  
• Valid Australian truck driver’s licence
  
• Experience working on European, Japanese and American trucks.
  
• You must be able to work independently without supervision.
  
• Excellent customer service skills.
  
• Experience working with diagnostic computers.
  
• Reliable and punctual.
  
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment.
  
• Good organisation and time management skills.
